South Coastal Animal Health is an outstanding Veterinarian Clinic, which outshines all others. Professional and fast with very reasonable prices. Our dog was hit by the car. I cannot find words to describe the hellish experience immediately after the accident at another clinic, the VCA South Shore Hospital . Thanks God, that later we made an appointment at South Coastal Animal Health. I was amazed how fast and professionally we were served. It was unbelievable to have a real conversation with a Veterinarian, who is knowledgeable, experienced and just simply nice/understandable. We were offered to look at the X-rays together, had a very informative discussion and got all the prescribed medications right away, at the end of the appointment. Our dog began to feel better the same evening. Words cannot describe our gratitude to the Dr. Grace Strake and all the personnel! I wish this place would have their services available 24/7. It will save many lives! As for example, on the day our dog was hit, we brought him to the VCA hospital just because this place was not opened yet, and we understood the suggestion "in the case of the emergency go to VCA South Shore Hospital" as a recommendation. South Coastal Animal Health should just stop mentioning VCA; it is not the place that is interested to help with emergencies and save animals' lives. I will recommend South Coastal Animal Health to everybody that has pets. I wish this place to grow, succeed and have services available 24/7! Thank you and God Bless!!!!
I have a purebred bengal, I brought her here to be spayed because I read the great reviews.. well.. the staff is extremely nice so its nothing against them.. but after her spay, I bring her home and see all of her nipples were gashed up and one is missing.. why on Earth would they be so careless when shaving her stomach. She is a shorthair, it is NOT hard to locate nipples and go around them. Now she has cut up nipples and they bleed. This is what $700 spay gets me? I brought her here for her safety and for it to be all done nicely and less abrasive and this is what my little kitten gets done to her? Not very happy.. but again.. very nice staff but for future trimming of fur.. PLEASE think about the animal first instead of being careless and rushing. Apparently they let students from Mount Ida handle the buzzing and appears there was no supervision when it occurred since the student didnt just cut one or two nipples, they cut 6 and 1 is missing

Everyone is so nice and professional. Coastal is immaculate with large waiting area which wasn't a long wait. Costs were appropriate for my dog's issues. Definitely would recommend and will return if anything else happens.
Over the years as this business has grown, that one on one compassionate care has waned. My dog recently passed away from something she may have had her whole life that was never diagnosed. I can't say for sure her death is directly due to their negligence, but I can't say it isn't either. I have no plans to return with remaining or future pets. After coming here for 10 years, I believe this place has become way too commercialized and profit driven.
